OPT (Full Mouth X-Ray) is a system that takes a panoramic overview of the complete set of teeth, which after that is transferred to a computer. On the computer screen the complete set of teeth can be seen at once. This allows us to detect certain issues at an early stage which therefore can be treated better. the OPT- X-rays use for establishing the position of wisdom teeth, bone deficiency, nose, ear and sinus problems, problems with roots and the position of teeth and molars as well as problems with the mandibular joints.

Like other X-ray systems this particular systems generates radiation in a very low dose. This radiation dose is not considered to be harmful at all.

An Orthopantomogram (OPG), also known as an “orthopantogram” or “panorex”, is a panoramic scanning dental X-ray of the upper and lower jaw. It shows a two-dimensional view of a half-circle from ear to ear.

An OPG is a x-ray technique used to examine the teeth, jaw and temporo-mandibular joints. Occasionally other specialised examinations are performed. There are a
number of situations where the use of x-rays is essential for correct diagnosis and treatment:

  • Toothaches
  • Decay
  • Gum Disease
  • Wisdom Teeth
  • Root Canal Treatment
  • Accidents
  • Orthodontics
